Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) has acquired Pixomondo (PXO), an award-winning virtual production, visualization and VFX company, from Mayfair Equity Partners. Financial terms were not disclosed; the deal gives SPE full ownership of PXO and strengthens Sony's virtual production and visual effects capabilities across film and premium television.

Framestore, Backed by Crestview Partners and Aleph Capital, Acquires Company 3 / Method

Framestore, with investment backing from private equity firms Crestview Partners and Aleph Capital, has acquired Company 3 / Method (C3M) to create a combined global creative and post-production studio. The transaction brings together Framestore's VFX and production capabilities with C3M's post-production expertise and scale (approximately 3,500 artists), positioning the enlarged business to address growing demand from film, television, streaming and advertising clients.

Cyclomedia Acquires Floating Point FX
