J&E Precision Tool, an LFM Capital portfolio company, has completed acquisitions of Alloy Specialties Inc. (Manchester, Connecticut) and Beranek Inc. (Torrance, California). The add-on deals expand J&E’s national footprint, precision machining capabilities, and customer relationships across aerospace, defense, and space end markets; financial terms were not disclosed.

Threadlock Precision (backed by The D. E. Shaw Group) Acquires J&F Machine

Threadlock Precision, an operating platform backed by The D. E. Shaw Group, has acquired J&F Machine, a Cypress, California-based precision CNC machining business serving aerospace, defense and commercial markets. The acquisition is an early add-on in Threadlock Precision's plan to build an integrated network of precision manufacturers and will provide J&F with operational support, technology modernization and growth capital.

Willis & Smith Capital Acquires J&E Manufacturing (with First Capital Partners financing)

Willis & Smith Capital acquired J&E Manufacturing LLC (and affiliate J&E Coatings LLC), with mezzanine debt and a minority equity investment from First Capital Partners supporting the transaction. The deal brings J&E into the same corporate umbrella as Willis & Smith portfolio company R&B Grinding, increasing manufacturing capacity and capabilities across the U.S. and Mexico.

LFM Capital Invests in Current Tools

LFM Capital, a Nashville-based private equity firm, has invested in Current Tools, LLC, a manufacturer of specialized cable-pulling and conduit-bending tools headquartered in Wellford, South Carolina. The investment makes Current Tools the seventh platform company in LFM's third fund and will support the company's U.S.-based manufacturing growth and expansion of product offerings for electrical and mechanical contractors.

Weller Metalworks Acquires Laser Precision

Weller Metalworks, the fabrication platform established by LFM Capital, has acquired Laser Precision, a Libertyville, Illinois-based full-service metal fabricator. The add-on acquisition (terms undisclosed) expands Weller's capabilities in laser cutting, forming, finishing and powder coating to better serve industrial equipment OEM customers.
