Weller Metalworks Acquires Laser Precision

AEFP Group, a North American precision parts and assemblies platform backed by Emko Capital, has acquired Johnson Precision Products of Santa Ana, California and named industry veteran Joe DeMartino as CEO of the group. The add-on strengthens AEFP Group’s hydraulics and fuel-systems component capabilities and expands its electro-mechanical assembly offerings for aerospace and defense customers.

Threadlock Precision (backed by The D. E. Shaw Group) Acquires J&F Machine

Threadlock Precision, an operating platform backed by The D. E. Shaw Group, has acquired J&F Machine, a Cypress, California-based precision CNC machining business serving aerospace, defense and commercial markets. The acquisition is an early add-on in Threadlock Precision's plan to build an integrated network of precision manufacturers and will provide J&F with operational support, technology modernization and growth capital.

Willis & Smith Capital Acquires J&E Manufacturing (with First Capital Partners financing)

Willis & Smith Capital acquired J&E Manufacturing LLC (and affiliate J&E Coatings LLC), with mezzanine debt and a minority equity investment from First Capital Partners supporting the transaction. The deal brings J&E into the same corporate umbrella as Willis & Smith portfolio company R&B Grinding, increasing manufacturing capacity and capabilities across the U.S. and Mexico.

Cadence Aerospace (Arlington Capital) Acquires B&E OEM Manufacturing Division

Cadence Aerospace, a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, has acquired the OEM Manufacturing Division of B&E Group, adding two Massachusetts facilities (Southwick and Westfield) that specialize in complex, difficult-to-machine engine components for aerospace and defense customers. The deal expands Cadence's engine-component capabilities and creates scale across its Tell Tool and ADM operations as an add-on to the Cadence platform.
