Dream Finders Homes Acquires Core Assets of Crescent Homes

Dream Finders Homes, Inc. acquired the core homebuilding assets of Crescent Ventures, LLC (operating as Crescent Homes), adding approximately 457 homesites, a backlog of ~460 homes (>$265 million) and ~6,200 owned/controlled lots. The deal expands Dream Finders' presence into Charleston and Greenville, South Carolina, and Nashville, Tennessee, and includes a partnership with Crescent founder Ted Terry and his team.

Dream Finders Homes, Inc. (DFH) entered a definitive agreement to acquire the homebuilding, mortgage banking and title insurance assets of Houston-based McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc. (doing business as Coventry Homes). The transaction expands DFH's Texas footprint (Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio), adds ~1,850 homes in backlog and finished lots, and is being financed in part via a $150 million preferred-stock issuance and increased credit commitments.

D.R. Horton Acquires Riggins Custom Homes' Homebuilding Operations

Horton, Inc. acquired the homebuilding operations and related assets of Riggins Custom Homes in Fayetteville, Arkansas, including ~3,000 lots, 170 homes in inventory and 173 homes in sales order backlog. The transaction is expected to be approximately $107 million in cash and will combine Riggins' operations with D.R. Horton's Northwest Arkansas platform to expand the company's local market presence.

Dream Finders Homes (via Jet HomeLoans) Acquires Cherry Creek Mortgage

New Home Co. Acquires Hamilton Thomas Homes

New Home Co., an Irvine-based homebuilder backed by Apollo-managed funds, has acquired Hamilton Thomas Homes to enter the Texas market. The deal brings roughly 2,000 lots (about 12 planned communities) in Houston and Austin and retains founders John Bohnen and Jennifer Keller to lead New Home Co.'s newly formed Texas region.
