D.R. Horton Acquires Braselton Homes' Homebuilding Operations

Horton, Inc. acquired the homebuilding operations of Braselton Homes in Corpus Christi, Texas, purchasing lots, homes-in-inventory and an active sales backlog for approximately $23 million in cash. The transaction includes ~95 lots, 90 homes in inventory, 125 homes in sales backlog and control of ~840 lots via purchase contracts; Braselton will operate as a separate division within D.R. Horton as the buyer expands its Texas footprint.

Invitation Homes Acquires ResiBuilt Homes

Invitation Homes acquired ResiBuilt Homes for a contract price of $89 million plus up to $7.5 million in earn-outs to bolster its build-to-rent development capabilities in the U.S. Southeast. The Atlanta-based developer (roughly 70 associates) will continue operating under the ResiBuilt brand and brings 23 fee-building contracts, a pipeline of additional opportunities and options on about 1,500 lots; RESICAP (the former parent) will remain independent.
