Advent International and BCI Acquire Maxar Technologies

U.S. private equity firm Advent International, with minority investor British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), completed the acquisition of Maxar Technologies for $53.00 per share, valuing the company at approximately $6.4 billion. With the closing, Maxar is now privately held, its common stock has been de-listed from the NYSE and TSX, and the company will remain U.S.-controlled and operated.

Advent International to Take Nuvei Private in $6.3B Buyout

Advent International agreed to acquire Nuvei for US$34.00 per share in an all-cash transaction that values the Canadian payments company at approximately US$6.3 billion. Existing major shareholders — Philip Fayer, Novacap and CDPQ — will roll a significant portion of their equity and remain as investors, with Philip Fayer continuing as Nuvei's Chair and CEO; the deal is expected to close in late 2024 or early 2025, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals.

Maxim stockholders will receive 0.630 shares of ADI for each Maxim share, leaving ADI shareholders with ~69% and Maxim shareholders with ~31% of the combined company; the deal is intended to strengthen ADI's analog semiconductor leadership and deliver cost synergies.
