Truck-Lite Acquires Lumitec

Truck-Lite, Co., LLC has acquired Lumitec LLC, a designer and manufacturer of extreme-environment LED lighting and lighting control systems for marine, off-highway and specialty vehicle OEM and aftermarket customers. Brown Gibbons Lang & Company served as exclusive financial advisor to Lumitec; terms were not disclosed. The acquisition expands Truck-Lite’s product and OEM capabilities in marine and specialty vehicle lighting.

Corinthian Capital and Valesco Acquire Majority Interest in Trimlight

An affiliate of Corinthian Capital Group, in partnership with Valesco Industries, has acquired a majority interest in Trimlight, Inc., a West Jordan, Utah-based pioneer in permanent exterior LED lighting. The transaction was structured as a majority recapitalization to support Trimlight's growth — the company sells through a network of more than 300 exclusive dealers across the United States and Canada; FS Investments provided debt financing and D.A. Davidson acted as Trimlight's financial advisor.

Volex PLC Acquires MC Electronics LLC

Volex PLC acquired MC Electronics LLC from Nova Capital Management, completing a deal announced in April 2018 and reported in June 2018. MC Electronics, based in Hollister, California with manufacturing in Juarez, Mexico, is a contract manufacturer of custom cables, wire harnesses and electromechanical assemblies for the medical equipment industry; Volex said the acquisition expands its cable assembly capabilities and customer relationships.

Chauvet Acquires LiteGear

Chauvet has acquired LiteGear, the Burbank-based cinematic LED lighting manufacturer, with the merger taking effect January 22, 2025. Chauvet will incorporate LiteGear into a new Chauvet Cinema Group (led by Mike Wagner) alongside Kino Flo to expand its cinematic lighting product portfolio, manufacturing scale and global market reach.

Hudson Valley Lighting Group Acquires Sonneman

Hudson Valley Lighting Group (HVLG) has acquired lighting brand Sonneman, bringing the architectural LED and configurable lighting portfolio into HVLG’s family of brands. The deal positions HVLG to expand further into commercial design and configurable LED offerings while consolidating design and engineering resources across its brands; Sonneman’s CEO Andrew Cogan has departed and HVLG founder David Littman will serve as CEO of the combined business.
