Chauvet Acquires Kino Flo

Chauvet & Sons, a Cortec Fund VI portfolio company, acquired Kino Flo, a Burbank-based manufacturer of professional film and broadcast lighting, on August 30, 2021. The deal is an add-on to Chauvet aimed at expanding its broadcast, studio and film lighting capabilities; Kino Flo's founder Frieder Hochheim will continue to lead the business.

Chauvet Acquires LynTec

Chauvet, a Florida-based lighting manufacturer, has acquired LynTec, a Lenexa, Kansas manufacturer of remotely operated AC power control systems for lighting, video and audio systems. The acquisition expands Chauvet's product portfolio and enables bundled lighting and power-control solutions for live-venue, house-of-worship and pro AV customers.

Court Square Capital Partners Acquires Majority Stake in Chauvet & Sons

Court Square Capital Partners has acquired a majority interest in Chauvet & Sons, LLC from an affiliate of Cortec Group (Cortec Group Fund VI, L.P.), with Cortec and management remaining minority shareholders. Chauvet, headquartered in Davie, Florida and led by founder and CEO Albert Chauvet, is a global designer and manufacturer of entertainment, theatrical and broadcast lighting products; terms were not disclosed.

Kuzco Group Acquires Auroralight

Auroralight founder and CEO Mike Joye is retiring; Kuzco says the purchase expands its portfolio of lighting brands and product capabilities under new Auroralight CEO John Hradnansky.

Environmental Lights Acquires City Theatrical

Environmental Lights, a San Diego-based LED lighting supplier, has acquired City Theatrical (including its U.S. and U.K. entities) to expand its product portfolio and global footprint in the scenic and theatrical lighting market. City Theatrical will continue to operate under its brand with existing leadership retained, combining complementary product lines such as Multiverse Wireless DMX and QolorFLEX LED lighting.

Kade Ventures Acquires GleamXLights

Kade Ventures, a private equity firm, has acquired GleamXLights, a B2B LED lighting brand founded in 2014 and operating manufacturing in Delaware. The deal is intended to scale GleamXLights' global reach, strengthen its supply chain and marketing capabilities, and accelerate growth across commercial and industrial lighting markets.
