Chauvet has acquired LiteGear, the Burbank-based cinematic LED lighting manufacturer, with the merger taking effect January 22, 2025. Chauvet will incorporate LiteGear into a new Chauvet Cinema Group (led by Mike Wagner) alongside Kino Flo to expand its cinematic lighting product portfolio, manufacturing scale and global market reach.

Court Square Capital Partners Acquires Majority Stake in Chauvet & Sons

Court Square Capital Partners has acquired a majority interest in Chauvet & Sons, LLC from an affiliate of Cortec Group (Cortec Group Fund VI, L.P.), with Cortec and management remaining minority shareholders. Chauvet, headquartered in Davie, Florida and led by founder and CEO Albert Chauvet, is a global designer and manufacturer of entertainment, theatrical and broadcast lighting products; terms were not disclosed.

Chauvet Acquires Kino Flo

Chauvet & Sons, a Cortec Fund VI portfolio company, acquired Kino Flo, a Burbank-based manufacturer of professional film and broadcast lighting, on August 30, 2021. The deal is an add-on to Chauvet aimed at expanding its broadcast, studio and film lighting capabilities; Kino Flo's founder Frieder Hochheim will continue to lead the business.

Truck-Lite Acquires Lumitec

Truck-Lite, Co., LLC has acquired Lumitec LLC, a designer and manufacturer of extreme-environment LED lighting and lighting control systems for marine, off-highway and specialty vehicle OEM and aftermarket customers. Brown Gibbons Lang & Company served as exclusive financial advisor to Lumitec; terms were not disclosed. The acquisition expands Truck-Lite’s product and OEM capabilities in marine and specialty vehicle lighting.

Nevco Sports Acquires Lynx System Developers

Nevco Sports, LLC has acquired Lynx System Developers, Inc., a Haverhill-based sports timing and photo-finish technology company. The deal expands Nevco's scoring and display product line to include Lynx's photo-finish timing, line-scan cameras and athlete-tracking solutions, while Lynx will continue operations in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

The deal consolidates LOU-TEC's position as a Quebec leader in heavy machinery and specialized equipment rental, expanding its aerial-lift fleet and regional footprint across the Montreal South Shore, North Shore and the Capitale-Nationale region.
