Chauvet & Sons, a Cortec Fund VI portfolio company, acquired Kino Flo, a Burbank-based manufacturer of professional film and broadcast lighting, on August 30, 2021. The deal is an add-on to Chauvet aimed at expanding its broadcast, studio and film lighting capabilities; Kino Flo's founder Frieder Hochheim will continue to lead the business.

SFW Capital Partners has completed the sale of Industrial Dynamics Co., Ltd. (dba FILTEC), a Torrance, California-based provider of in-line inspection instrumentation for the global beverage and food industries, to a corporate acquirer identified in some reports as KESTREL Vision (with other sources referencing CVL 3 Americas). Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction transfers FILTEC out of SFW’s portfolio after a period of product investment, go-to-market changes, and global service expansion.
