Chauvet has acquired LiteGear, the Burbank-based cinematic LED lighting manufacturer, with the merger taking effect January 22, 2025. Chauvet will incorporate LiteGear into a new Chauvet Cinema Group (led by Mike Wagner) alongside Kino Flo to expand its cinematic lighting product portfolio, manufacturing scale and global market reach.

Acuity Brands Acquires The Luminaires Group

Illumus Acquires Barn Light Electric

The deal (closed October 3) expands Illumus' multi-brand lighting platform by adding design-forward architectural fixtures and strengthening its U.S. manufacturing capabilities.

Unnamed Private Investor Acquires Lumos Custom Lighting & Fabrication

Chauvet Acquires Kino Flo

The deal is an add-on to Chauvet aimed at expanding its broadcast, studio and film lighting capabilities; Kino Flo's founder Frieder Hochheim will continue to lead the business.

IES Holdings Acquires Aerial Lighting & Electric

IES Holdings, Inc. acquired all equity interests in Aerial Lighting & Electric, Inc., a Naugatuck, Connecticut-based electrical contractor specializing in multi-family residential electrical systems. Aerial, which had approximately $24 million in 2019 revenue and over 60 employees, will join IES's Residential segment to strengthen and expand IES's presence in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
