Sole Source Capital Acquires Dallas Plastics

Sole Source Capital LLC, an industrial-focused lower-middle market private equity firm, has acquired Dallas Plastics, a Mesquite, Texas-based manufacturer of blown polyethylene film serving medical, food and industrial end markets. The transaction (terms not disclosed) names Kevin Pierce as CEO while founder Dennis Pierce remains as senior advisor; Sole Source said it will invest in technology, add capacity and pursue M&A to accelerate growth in the flexible packaging space.

Dallas Plastics, a portfolio company of Sole Source Capital, has acquired Hi-De Liners, a manufacturer of high-density and linear low-density polyethylene bags and film headquartered in Orange, Massachusetts. The acquisition expands Dallas Plastics' HDPE product offering and continues Sole Source Capital's buy-and-build strategy in flexible packaging; terms were not disclosed.

Specialized Packaging Group Acquires Protective Packaging Solutions

Specialized Packaging Group (a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners) has acquired Protective Packaging Solutions (PPS), a custom designer and fabricator of engineered protective packaging based in Aurora, Colorado. The acquisition expands SPG's engineered packaging capabilities and geographic reach, adding approximately 90 employees to SPG's ~1,600-person workforce; Monroe Capital provided a senior credit facility to support the transaction.

PPC Flexible Packaging Acquires Custom Poly Bag, Inc.

PPC Flexible Packaging LLC, a Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based flexible packaging manufacturer, has acquired Custom Poly Bag, Inc., a family-owned flexible packaging converter based in Alliance, Ohio. The deal expands PPC's manufacturing footprint and capabilities in film extrusion, printing and bag operations, and is the latest add-on in PPC's multi-year acquisition strategy.

MML Capital Partners Invests in SC PACK group

The acquisition expands FirmaPak's geographic footprint into Canada, broadens capabilities in personal care and pharmaceutical packaging, and keeps Easy Plastics' leadership in place.
