KPS Capital Partners, through a newly formed affiliate, has completed the acquisition of Catalyst Acoustics Group, a leading designer and manufacturer of engineered acoustical, seismic, vibration and noise control solutions. The seller was The Stephens Group; KPS plans to support Catalyst's organic and acquisitive growth while preserving the independence and channels of its underlying brands.

The Stephens Group, a Little Rock-based private investment firm, finalized the acquisition of Kinetics Noise Control, a Dublin, Ohio designer and manufacturer of acoustic and vibration-control products. The firm simultaneously formed Catalyst Acoustics Group as a platform to house Kinetics alongside other noise-control businesses (including Sound Seal, IAC Acoustics, Noise Barriers and Lamvin) to consolidate capabilities and expand market coverage.

Catalyst Acoustics Group Acquires Fräsch, LLC

Catalyst Acoustics Group, a platform company backed by The Stephens Group, acquired Fräsch, a Texas-based maker of polyester acoustic wall and ceiling products. The deal adds polyester-based acoustic panels, baffles, partitions and acoustic lighting to Catalyst’s portfolio to broaden product offerings and technical expertise while Fräsch’s founders and employees remain with the business.

The deal expands Catalyst's HVAC rooftop support and vibration isolation product offering while Curb Tech's co-founders will continue to run operations; financial terms were not disclosed.

Madison Air Acquires AcoustiFLO

Madison Air has acquired AcoustiFLO, a Denver‑area manufacturer of high‑performance plenum fans and acoustic fan technology, to add aerodynamic efficiency and acoustic performance capabilities to its Air Handling Group (AHG). AcoustiFLO, founded in 1995 and headquartered in Aurora, Colorado, will report to Madison Air's AHG and its technology will be integrated across portfolio air‑handling platforms including FANWALL offerings.

Trèves Group Acquires CTA Acoustics from Cerberus

Trèves Group, a Paris-based designer and manufacturer of acoustic and thermal insulation solutions for the automotive industry, has acquired CTA Acoustics, Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of fiber-based thermal and acoustic insulation products. CTA was previously owned by an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management; the acquisition reinforces Trèves' product portfolio and North American OEM presence.
