Clearview and Canopy Acquire Portu-Sunberg and Merge into I+B Platform

Clearview Capital Fund IV and Canopy Capital Management acquired Portu-Sunberg Marketing and merged it with their existing portfolio company I+B (Infinity Worlds and Belmont Partners) to create a leading provider of sales and marketing services for consumer brands at major U.S. retailers and e-commerce platforms. Portu-Sunberg, headquartered in Minneapolis, provides sales and marketing, creative services, data insights and account management, and will operate as a division of the combined I+B holding company.

Clearview Capital Fund IV completed a recapitalization of Inventive, LLC (closed May 5, 2023), partnering with its Vertikal Brands team to support growth of the domestic manufacturing business. Inventive founder Chuck Ceccarelli retained a significant equity stake; Clearview said it will leverage Inventive's engineering and lean manufacturing capabilities to expand product development and market reach in towing, fishing, ATV/UTV and garage end markets.

Northstar Capital provided junior debt and an equity co‑investment to help finance the deal; founders John Robinson and Cheryl Roberts retired while retaining minority stakes and transitioning leadership to the senior management team.
