Summit's co-founder and CEO Reed Colley joined Orion as President of Orion Advisor Technology, and Summit's 12 employees transitioned to Orion as the company integrates Summit's software into its platform.

Orion Advisor Solutions Acquires Redtail Technology

Orion Advisor Solutions has agreed to acquire Redtail Technology, a web-based CRM provider for financial advisors, to embed Redtail's CRM into Orion's wealthtech platform and deliver a more integrated advisor-client technology experience. The deal, announced April 19, 2022 and completed June 6, 2022, will keep Redtail operating as a brand entity within Orion with Redtail CEO Brian McLaughlin becoming Orion's President of CRM.

Wealthspire Advisors Acquires Heron Wealth

Wealthspire Advisors LLC, an NFP company, signed an agreement to acquire Heron Financial Group, LLC (dba Heron Wealth), a New York City-based wealth advisory firm managing approximately $300 million in client assets. The acquisition expands Wealthspire's presence in the Northeast and adds Heron's team and capabilities in financial planning, investment advice, and estate planning; the deal was expected to close in early Q2 2023 subject to customary approvals.

Orion Innovation Acquires Sryas in Strategic Combination

Orion Innovation, a portfolio company of One Equity Partners, has entered into a strategic combination with Sryas, a global technology firm specializing in data management, analytics and application services. The deal adds more than 550 Sryas associates and the Analance analytics platform to Orion, strengthening Orion's telecommunications capabilities and nearshore footprint (notably in Canada).

DataLink Software Acquires Orizon360°
