The acquisition expands Apex's water resources, hydrogeology, and infrastructure capabilities in Florida and brings Water Science Associates' founders and technical team into Apex to support integration and future growth.

Morgan Stanley Capital Partners Acquires Apex Companies from Sentinel Capital Partners

Investment funds managed by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners (MSCP) have acquired Apex Companies, a Rockville, Maryland–based environmental consulting and engineering firm, from Sentinel Capital Partners. Sentinel will retain a minority stake post-closing; financial terms were not disclosed. Apex operates over 1,100 professionals across ~50 offices and provides services in stormwater compliance, water resources, ESG, health & safety, transportation, and civil engineering.

AQUALIS Acquires Stormwater Solutions Engineering, LLC

SSE CEO Carrie Bristoll-Groll will join AQUALIS as Executive Vice President, Engineering Services as the acquisition expands AQUALIS’ engineering capabilities and service offering nationwide.

(Houston, TX). Mason Wells, a Milwaukee-based private equity firm, has acquired SWAT Group, Inc., a radon mitigation and vapor intrusion remediation services provider founded in 1988. SDR Ventures served as exclusive sell-side advisor; SWAT operates in 33 states with over 120 field installation technicians and will be consolidated under Mason Wells to support growth and scaling.
