SpartanNash will retain Metcalfe's storefront, branding and employees, and bring its private-label offerings and loyalty program to the acquired stores; terms were not disclosed.

Australian wholesaler Metcash has agreed to acquire Superior Food Group for up to A$412.3 million as part of three acquisition agreements totalling about A$558.5 million. Superior Food Group is a national foodservice distributor with 23 branches, an 80,000 sqm warehouse footprint and over 20,000 customers across quick-service restaurants, caterers, cafes, restaurants and hotels.
