Cleanwatts Digital has launched as an independent AI-powered digital energy company after a management buyout led by founding partners José Basílio Simões, Jorge Landeck and James McDougall, with investment from Celtis Venture Partners. The Coimbra-based company provides battery integration, renewable asset optimization and behind-the-meter energy management via a cloud-based platform that serves global clients and manages 1.5 TWh across ~35,000 IoT devices.
