CMOC Group Acquires Equinox Gold's Brazil Operations (Aurizona, RDM, Bahia Complex)

Equinox Gold completed the sale of its Brazil Operations — the Aurizona Mine, RDM Mine and Bahia Complex — to a subsidiary of CMOC Group for total consideration of up to US$1.015 billion (US$900 million cash up front plus up to US$115 million contingent). The proceeds will be used to repay a $500 million term loan and a $300 million Sprott loan, reducing Equinox Gold's net debt to approximately US$150 million and refocusing the company on its North American growth assets.

Boliden completed the acquisition of the Somincor (Neves-Corvo) copper and zinc mine in Portugal and the Zinkgruvan zinc mine in Sweden from Lundin Mining on April 16, 2025. The cash consideration was USD 1.40 billion (USD 1.30 billion enterprise value plus up to USD 150 million contingent payments); the deal was financed with a bridge loan and a directed share issue that raised ~SEK 3.75 billion. The acquisition nearly doubles Boliden's zinc concentrate production and significantly strengthens its copper concentrate output.
