Asterion, EDF Invest and Swiss Life Asset Managers Acquire Energy Assets Group

A consortium of Asterion Industrial Partners, EDF Invest and Swiss Life Asset Managers has completed the acquisition of Energy Assets Group (EAG) from Alinda Capital Partners and Hermes Infrastructure. Headquartered in Livingston, Scotland, EAG is a leading provider of multi-utility metering services, meter asset management and last-mile utility connections in the UK; the investors plan to support its continued growth and expansion into adjacent sectors such as IGT/IDNO, fibre and EV charging infrastructure.

AEG brings a cloud-based demand-side management platform, over 100 utility and DSM experts, and projected ~$30 million in 2024 revenue; Ameresco said the sale allows it to focus on core projects, asset and O&M businesses.

Macquarie Asset Management Acquires Thyssengas from DIF and EDF Invest

Macquarie Asset Management, via its Macquarie Super Core Infrastructure Fund, has agreed to acquire Germany's Thyssengas from DIF and EDF Invest. Thyssengas operates a c.4,400 km gas transmission network serving municipal distributors, industrial customers and storage facilities in Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia region; Macquarie says it will support the company's transition to carry low-carbon gases such as hydrogen.
