MacNeill Pride Group Acquires ORCA Coolers

MacNeill Pride Group (MPG), a portfolio company of private equity firm Centre Partners, has purchased Outdoor Recreation Company of America (ORCA), a Nashville-based maker of premium roto-molded coolers, drinkware and outdoor accessories. ORCA will continue to operate from its Nashville headquarters, and MPG said the acquisition will expand its lifestyle product offerings and leverage existing retail relationships to grow distribution; terms were not disclosed.

Sweden-based Dometic Group AB agreed to acquire U.S. cooler maker Igloo Products Corp. for $677 million on a cash- and debt-free basis, with an additional earn-out of up to $223 million. The deal (expected to close in Q4 2021) was sourced from private-equity owner ACON Investments (with Hauser Private Equity involved) and is intended to strengthen Dometic's North American sales and distribution footprint.
