GreatStar Tools USA acquired SK Professional Tools (effective June 30, 2021) to reinvigorate the century-old American-made hand tool brand, invest in product innovation, and expand distribution. GreatStar said it will maintain US-based manufacturing and transition a large portion of SK’s product line to its Williamsport, Pennsylvania facility in 2022.

Hydrofarm Acquires Greenstar Plant Products

Hydrofarm Holdings Group, Inc. acquired Canadian nutrient manufacturer Greenstar Plant Products, Inc., adding the Grotek and Gaia Green brands to its branded product portfolio. The deal, funded with cash and Hydrofarm's existing credit facility for approximately $83 million U.S., makes Greenstar a wholly owned indirect subsidiary and is expected to be accretive to Hydrofarm's 2021 adjusted EBITDA.
