River Associates partnered with Presco Polymers' management to acquire Presco, a Sherman, Texas-based manufacturer of commercial marking products and customized PVC films. Financing for the transaction was provided by NXT Capital and junior capital provider Northstar Capital (which also made an equity co-investment); River plans to pursue add-on acquisitions to grow Presco.

Presco Polymers Acquires William Frick & Company

Sherman, TX-based Presco Polymers, a portfolio company of River Associates Investments, acquired William Frick & Company, a Libertyville, Illinois manufacturer and reseller of specialty labels, nameplates, tags and RFID products. The add-on acquisition closed on December 22, 2020 and expands Presco's safety marking and damage-prevention product portfolio while creating cross-selling opportunities across utilities, OEM and logistics end markets.

Presco Polymers Acquires Rhino Marking & Protection Systems

Presco Polymers, a portfolio company of River Associates Investments, acquired Rhino Marking & Protection Systems, a Minnesota-based manufacturer of marker posts and damage-prevention products. The add-on transaction, the third for Presco, closed on March 5, 2021 and preserves Rhino's manufacturing operations in Waseca, MN and sales/support out of Bloomington, MN while expanding Presco's range of safety marking and damage prevention solutions.

Preformed Line Products (PLP) Acquires Substantially All Assets of Pilot Plastics, Inc.

Preformed Line Products Company (PLP) acquired substantially all of the assets of Pilot Plastics, Inc., an injection molding specialist based in Peninsula, Ohio. The acquisition expands PLP's injection molding capacity and supports production of fiber-optic connectivity components for FTTH and 5G deployments while enabling closer collaboration with PLP's Cleveland headquarters.

Pexco LLC Acquires Plastic Profiles

The add-on expands Pexco's technical capabilities in high-performance polymers and broadens its product offering for end markets including semiconductors, aerospace & defense, life sciences and industrial applications.

TIPCO Technologies (Platte River Equity Portfolio Company) Acquires Flexline, Inc.

TIPCO Technologies, a Platte River Equity portfolio company, has acquired Flexline, Inc., a Kenilworth, New Jersey-based manufacturer of custom specialty hose assemblies. The add-on expands TIPCO's engineered hose capabilities and strengthens its presence in aerospace, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and semiconductor end markets as part of TIPCO's roll-up strategy under Platte River.
