Power has acquired Superior Integrated Solutions, Inc., including its Darwin Automotive F&I and digital retailing platform, to expand its software and data offerings for automotive dealerships and OEMs. Superior's senior leadership and 88 employees will join J.D. Power and form the base of a new dealership technologies division to accelerate digital retailing and F&I capabilities.

J.D. Power Acquires Autovista Group

J.D. Power has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Autovista Group, a pan‑European and Australian provider of automotive data, analytics and market insights. The deal expands J.D. Power's vehicle valuation and specification capabilities while broadening its footprint in Europe and Australia; Autovista's ~700 employees and senior leadership will join J.D. Power, and the acquisition is expected to close by the end of 2023 subject to customary conditions and regulatory approval.

IAA, Inc. Acquires SYNETIQ Ltd.

IAA, Inc. acquired SYNETIQ Ltd., a UK-based integrated salvage, auction and vehicle-dismantling business, in a transaction valued at £225 million. IAA paid £186 million at closing with the remaining £39 million held contingent on UK CMA approval; the CMA later cleared the deal and the remaining amount was released, expanding IAA’s footprint and capabilities in the United Kingdom.

Power has acquired Inventory Command Center (ICC), a SaaS-based automotive inventory management and VIN-level data syndication platform, and will integrate the business into its Autodata Solutions division. The acquisition expands J.D. Power's vehicle inventory merchandising and VIN data capabilities to better serve dealerships, manufacturers and third-party car-shopping sites as electric vehicles and new automation technologies increase VIN-specific data needs.

ACV Auctions Acquires ASI to Expand Off‑Lease Vehicle Inspection Capabilities

ACV Auctions Inc. has acquired ASI, a Cincinnati‑based provider of off‑lease, off‑rental, fleet and OEM vehicle inspection and audit services, bringing more than 300 field inspectors and office staff into ACV. The deal expands ACV's nationwide inspection footprint and allows ACV to offer its inspection technologies (e.g., Virtual Lift, AMP) to ASI customers; ASI previously operated as part of SGS Transportation Services in the United States.

iA Financial Group Acquires Innovative Aftermarket Systems from Genstar Capital and Flexpoint Ford

iA Financial Group (iA Financial Corporation Inc.) has completed the acquisition of Innovative Aftermarket Systems (IAS), a U.S.-based provider of vehicle protection products, administration and underwriting, from Genstar Capital and minority holder Flexpoint Ford for US$720 million. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, IAS operates with more than 500 employees and a distribution network of over 4,300 dealer relationships; iA said the deal strengthens its U.S. warranty capabilities and positions the combined business for growth in a fragmented market.
