Matrix Sciences Acquires Lapuck Laboratories

Matrix Sciences International Inc. has acquired Lapuck Laboratories, a Canton, Massachusetts-based microbiology laboratory founded in 1966 and owned by Dr. Khalil Zadeh. The acquisition expands Matrix Sciences' laboratory network into the New England region and strengthens its food/agriculture testing and analytics capabilities.

Agrify Corporation Acquires Lab Society

Agrify Corporation (Nasdaq: AGFY) acquired Lab Society, a Boulder-based maker of distillation and solvent separation equipment for the cannabis extraction industry, for $8 million in cash and stock plus an earnout of up to $3.5 million. The deal adds Lab Society’s hardware and proprietary EliteLab software to Agrify’s extraction product portfolio and is expected to be accretive in early 2022; Lab Society reported approximately $10 million in revenue for 2021.

AgroLiquid Acquires Monty's Plant Food Company

AgroLiquid, a St. Johns, Michigan-based liquid fertilizer manufacturer, will acquire Louisville-based Monty's Plant Food Company effective Jan. 1, 2025. The deal combines AgroLiquid's liquid fertilizer technology and manufacturing scale with Monty's humic and soil-health expertise to broaden product capabilities and deliver new crop nutrition solutions while both brands continue to operate independently through the 2025 growing season.

CARSO Group Acquires Agro.Biolab Laboratory (Italy)

French lab testing leader CARSO Group has acquired Agro.Biolab Laboratory, a Bari-based Italian food-safety testing company. The add-on was financed by CARSO's majority owner ARCHIMED with partners CAPZA Flex Equity Mid-Market and Siparex; the Agro.Biolab founder's family will roll over a significant portion of proceeds into a minority stake in CARSO.
