Veolia North America Acquires U.S. Industrial Technologies

Veolia North America has completed the acquisition of U.S. Industrial Technologies (USIT), a Michigan-based provider of hazardous, non-hazardous and recyclable industrial waste management services. The deal adds USIT's main operations in Livonia, Michigan and an operation in Knoxville, Tennessee, bringing more than 70 employees into Veolia's Environmental Solutions and Services division and expanding its hazardous waste treatment capacity and U.S. market share.

Veolia (via its Veolia North America unit) announced the acquisition of three U.S. hazardous-waste companies—New England Disposal Technologies, New England MedWaste and Ingenium—alongside additional tuck-ins in Japan (Zeeklite Co. LTD) and Brazil (Alagoas Ambiental). The deals form part of a broader GreenUp strategy to add 530,000 tonnes of hazardous waste treatment capacity by 2030 (100,000 tonnes already in operation) and represent roughly €300 million of targeted acquisitions to expand regional coverage and technical capabilities.
