Hub Group Acquires Forward Air Final Mile

Hub Group, Inc. acquired Forward Air Final Mile (FAFM), a subsidiary of Forward Air Corporation, for $262 million in cash. FAFM — a residential final-mile delivery and appliance installation provider with 46 company-operated facilities and $289 million of trailing-12-month revenue — will operate under the Hub Group Final Mile brand and expand Hub Group’s appliance delivery and installation capabilities.

AFS Group (America’s Floor Source) has acquired the assets and intellectual property of Lewis Floor & Home, a third-generation flooring, countertop, cabinet and window-treatment dealer based in Northbrook, Illinois. AFS will retain key senior leaders including owner Steve Lewis and keep the business operating from its Northbrook location as it integrates Lewis’s premium product offering and operational capabilities into its platform.

Ares Management and Freeman Spogli Acquire Floor and Decor Outlets of America

An affiliate of Ares Management together with Freeman Spogli & Co. agreed to purchase Floor and Decor Outlets of America from an investor group that included Najeti Ventures, Saugatuck Capital Company and TWJ Capital. The Atlanta-headquartered flooring retailer operates roughly 25 warehouse-style stores across 15 U.S. metro markets and sells to homeowners and professional contractors via stores and its website.

AFS Group (America's Floor Source) Acquires Flooring Solutions (Memphis)

Franchise Group, Inc. Acquires W.S. Badcock Corporation

Franchise Group, Inc. completed an all-cash acquisition of W.S. Badcock Corporation for approximately $580 million. The acquisition adds Badcock’s 383-store southeastern home furnishings chain (and related real estate and consumer credit receivables) to Franchise Group’s portfolio, creating scale and anticipated synergies with its existing home-furnishings brands.

American Fast Freight Acquires Global Transportation Services

American Fast Freight, a portfolio company owned by The Resolute Fund II (managed by The Jordan Company), has acquired Global Transportation Services, Inc., a Kent, Washington–based freight forwarding and 3PL provider. GTS will operate as a subsidiary of AFF with Jason Totah remaining as President and reinvesting in AFF; the deal expands AFF’s geographic footprint and creates a broader global logistics platform.
