Cast & Crew Acquires Backstage Holdings

Cast & Crew has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Backstage Holdings, the subscription-based talent marketplace and content-creation platform. The acquisition (financed with cash and stock) brings Backstage's marketplaces and creative tools into Cast & Crew's end-to-end production platform, expanding capabilities across talent, payroll, HR, finance and creative workflow; Backstage will continue to operate as a distinct brand under existing leadership.

Waverly Advisors Acquires NBW Capital, LLC

Waverly Advisors, a Birmingham-based RIA backed by Wealth Partners Capital Group and HGGC's Aspire Holdings, has acquired Boston-based NBW Capital, adding approximately $500 million of AUM and expanding Waverly into Massachusetts. The entire NBW team will join Waverly (except Ben Niedermeyer, who is retiring); the transaction closed on March 28, 2025 and is intended to bolster Waverly's equity strategy management capabilities.

Concord Acquires Broadway Licensing Global and Its Imprints

Concord has acquired Broadway Licensing Global (BLG) and its family of imprints — Broadway Licensing, Dramatists Play Service, Playscripts, and Stage Rights — adding roughly 150 titles and hundreds of authors to Concord Theatricals' catalogue. The deal (which excludes BLG's Stageworks development division and the Broadway On Demand streaming service) consolidates theatrical-licensing catalogs under Concord to expand its publishing and licensing capabilities.
