Atalanta Corporation Acquires J.A. Kirsch Corporation

Atalanta Corporation, the largest privately held food importer in North America, has acquired J.A. Kirsch Corporation, a Teaneck, New Jersey-based importer and wholesale distributor of canned seafood and shelf-stable specialty foods. The transaction will expand Atalanta’s portfolio of imported specialty food brands and strengthen its presence in the independent and retail depot segments along the U.S. East Coast; terms were not disclosed.

The Gellert Global Group Acquires Heartisan Foods from Ronin Equity Partners and Landon Capital Partners

The Gellert Global Group has acquired Barron, Wisconsin‑headquartered Heartisan Foods, a manufacturer and distributor of branded and private‑label specialty and flavored cheeses, from Ronin Equity Partners and Landon Capital Partners. The acquisition consolidates Heartisan's Red Apple, Barron County Cheese and other assets with Gellert’s Atalanta platform to expand the buyer’s presence in the U.S. specialty cheese market.

Rastelli Foods Group Acquires Greensbury Market

Goldbergs Group has added Pasta Mami, a family-run fresh pasta manufacturer, to its portfolio as part of a strategic expansion of its food production and catering capabilities. The Atlanta-area pasta maker will continue producing artisanal pasta while leveraging Goldbergs Group's restaurants, manufacturing and airline catering network to expand distribution to restaurants, grocers, caterers and hotels.

B&G Foods Acquires Frozen Vegetable Manufacturing Operations of Growers Express

B&G Foods, Inc. acquired the frozen vegetable manufacturing operations of Growers Express, LLC, including inventory, equipment, a sublease for part of a Yuma, Arizona manufacturing facility and a lease for a warehouse in San Luis, Arizona. Approximately 155 employees will transfer to B&G Foods; the company also repurchased the master license agreement for certain Green Giant Fresh products. The transaction was funded with cash on hand and borrowings under B&G's existing credit facility; terms were not disclosed.

Solina Acquires Saratoga Food Specialties

Solina, a France-based producer of savoury ingredient solutions, has signed an agreement to acquire Saratoga Food Specialties to accelerate its North American expansion. The deal (subject to regulatory approval) will add Saratoga's liquid-sauce capabilities, three U.S. manufacturing sites and approximately 500 employees to Solina's North American footprint.
