Interstate Waste Services Acquires Oak Ridge Waste & Recycling

Interstate Waste Services, a PE-backed waste-by-rail operator, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Oak Ridge Waste & Recycling, expanding IWS's collection, transfer and recycling footprint into Southwestern Connecticut and suburban New York. The deal (expected to close by end of Q1 2024) follows an equity recapitalization of IWS led by the Private Equity Group of Ares Management and Littlejohn & Co., and will add Oak Ridge's transfer, MRF and rail-served disposal capabilities and ~27,000 customer locations to IWS's platform.

Ridgewood Infrastructure Acquires SiEnergy, LP

Ridgewood Infrastructure LLC has acquired SiEnergy, LP, a regulated natural gas local distribution company serving roughly 25,000 customers across the Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth and Austin, Texas metropolitan areas. Ridgewood said the deal expands its portfolio of essential infrastructure assets and will support SiEnergy’s continued growth under its existing management team.

Circular Services Acquires Waste Recycling Inc.

Circular Services has acquired Waste Recycling Inc. (WRI), a Montgomery, Alabama–based recycling services provider with facilities in Montgomery, Anniston, Tuscaloosa and Opelika. The deal expands Circular Services' materials management and recycling footprint across Alabama and the Southeastern United States, strengthening its ability to serve industrial customers — notably automotive manufacturers — and recover valuable materials at scale.

Interstate Waste Services, a privately held waste and recycling services provider based in Teaneck, New Jersey, has acquired Evergreen Recycling Solutions, a LEED-certified C&D material recovery facility and transfer station based in Newark, New Jersey. The acquisition adds a state-of-the-art construction & demolition (C&D) MRF to IWS's network, expanding its C&D processing and recycling capabilities across Northern and Central New Jersey.

Reconomy Acquires American Outsourced Waste and Recycling (AOWR)

Reconomy has acquired American Outsourced Waste and Recycling (AOWR), an East Hartford, Connecticut-based outsourced waste management business, and will integrate it into its Lincoln Waste Solutions platform. The deal is Reconomy's fifth US acquisition and expands Lincoln's capabilities, customers and capacity as part of Reconomy’s strategy to scale its North American operations.

Greenleaf Capital Partners Acquires R&R Sanitation, Inc.

Greenleaf Capital Partners has acquired R&R Sanitation, Inc., a provider of portable restrooms and roll-off dumpsters serving the greater St. Louis and St. Charles, Missouri markets. Terms were not disclosed; Greenleaf said the investment will help R&R scale in its existing market and pursue expansion into new geographic markets.
