Alimentation Couche‑Tard Inc. (Circle K) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 45 fuel and convenience retail sites from Arkansas‑based Big Red Stores, a chain founded in 1997 by Doug and David Hendrix. The deal (expected to close in H1 2023, subject to approvals) significantly expands Couche‑Tard’s Arkansas footprint and will be financed with available cash and/or existing credit facilities.

IRI Acquires Retail Solutions, Inc. (RSi)

(RSi), a leading provider of supply chain and on‑shelf availability analytics for CPG manufacturers and retailers. The acquisition adds RSi’s supply chain solutions and large retail/warehouse-level data assets to IRI’s Liquid Data platform to enhance end-to-end supply chain visibility and analytics capabilities; financial terms were not disclosed.

CI Financial Acquires Budros, Ruhlin & Roe

The deal expands CI Private Wealth's U.S. presence and increases CI's U.S. wealth management assets to roughly US$82 billion.

KKR Acquires Flow Control Group from Bertram Capital

Five Star Breaktime Solutions has acquired Cool Springs Refreshments LLC, a Nashville-based vending and micro-market operator founded in 2004 by Robert Venables. The purchase expands Five Star’s footprint across Middle Tennessee, adding nearly 60 customer locations served by about 130 vending machines and micro-markets and enhancing its breakroom services in the Nashville market.

Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment Acquires Redbox Entertainment Inc.

Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment (CSSE) has completed its acquisition of Redbox Entertainment Inc., combining CSSE’s Crackle Plus and content studios with Redbox’s streaming services, FAST/AVOD/TVOD distribution and 36,000 kiosks. The deal expands the combined company’s content library to over 51,000 titles, is expected to drive revenue to roughly $500 million and deliver more than $40 million in run-rate synergies.
