Potomac Equity Partners, a Washington, D.C.-based private equity firm, announced an investment in and strategic partnership with Watermark Solutions, LLC, a Houston-based provider of ERP business solutions, technology and hosting services. The investment will be used to accelerate Watermark’s growth by expanding its sales and customer service organization, enhancing technology capabilities and broadening its solutions and hosting offerings (including through its Apptrix subsidiary).

GFL Environmental Acquires Plummer's Environmental Services

GFL Environmental, a portfolio company of Apollo Asset Management, has acquired Plummer's Environmental Services, a Grand Rapids-area provider of industrial and municipal environmental services. Charter Capital served as exclusive sell-side advisor to Plummer's in the transaction, which expands GFL's liquid and industrial waste capabilities and regional presence in Michigan.

Potomac Equity Partners provided additional capital to its portfolio company Watermark Solutions to merge with Synergy Resources, creating WM Synergy — an expanded ERP, technology and cloud hosting provider serving manufacturers and distributors. The combined business will offer Infor, Acumatica and Hexagon ERP implementations, managed hosting and related consulting services across North America; financial terms were not disclosed.

The Waterproofing Company, a long-established waterproofing and restoration contractor, has acquired Phoenix Bay State Construction Company, Inc., a nearly 50-year-old New England masonry construction and restoration firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. The acquisition expands The Waterproofing Company's masonry and restoration capabilities and positions the combined organization to pursue additional regional growth opportunities.

Nolan Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Water Engineering, Inc.

Nolan Capital, the family office of Peter Nolan, has acquired a majority stake in Water Engineering, Inc., a Omaha-based provider of industrial water treatment solutions, chemicals and services. Nolan Capital’s Southern California portfolio company, Apollo Technologies, will join the combined Water Engineering platform as the investor and management team intend to pursue further acquisitions to build a national water treatment platform.

Inframark and ESG Operations Combine to Form Inframark-ESG

Inframark LLC has merged with ESG Operations, Inc., combining Inframark’s national infrastructure management capabilities with ESG’s regional water, wastewater and public works operations to form Inframark-ESG.
