Shore will partner with management to invest in business development, R&D, sales and production infrastructure and pursue organic growth and inorganic consolidation through add-on acquisitions.

OWS Foods Acquires Lillie's Q Sauces & Rubs

iSpice Foods Acquires Spice Chain Corporation from Frontenac

iSpice Foods, a privately held spice importer and processor based in Jackson, Alabama, has acquired Spice Chain Corporation, a New Jersey-based importer, processor and supplier of spices and seasonings. The seller was Frontenac, which had previously owned Spice Chain; financial terms were not disclosed and Boxwood Partners acted as sell-side advisor.

Olam Food Ingredients Acquires Olde Thompson from Kainos Capital

Olam Food Ingredients, the ingredients arm of Olam International, agreed to acquire Olde Thompson, a leading North American private‑label spice and seasoning manufacturer headquartered in Oxnard, California, from Kainos Capital in a transaction valued at $950 million. The deal expands OFI’s spice and seasoning capabilities, adds bi‑coastal manufacturing footprint and strengthens traceability and sourcing for private‑label and foodservice customers; closing was expected in Q2 2021.

The Kraft Heinz Company Acquires 85% Stake in Just Spices GmbH

The Kraft Heinz Company has completed the acquisition of an 85% stake in Germany-based Just Spices GmbH, with the three founders retaining the remaining 15% and continuing to run the business. Kraft Heinz intends to use Just Spices' direct-to-consumer capabilities, product portfolio and analytics to accelerate international growth and expand its Taste Elevation platform, including launching the brand in the U.S. market.
