Ardian Infrastructure Acquires Adamo Telecom from EQT Private Equity

Ardian Infrastructure has agreed to acquire Adamo Telecom, a Barcelona-headquartered fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) operator in Spain, from EQT Private Equity (EQT Mid Market Europe fund). Adamo operates an open-access nationwide network (1.8 million homes passed) serving approximately 250,000 retail and wholesale subscribers and employs about 300 people; the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and was expected to close in Q1 2022.

EQT Infrastructure V and Stonepeak have agreed to acquire DELTA Fiber from EQT Infrastructure III, with each buyer taking a 50% stake and co-controlling the company. Headquartered in Schiedam, Netherlands, DELTA Fiber operates an approximately 50,000 km FTTH network connecting about 900,000 households and businesses (approximately 600 employees) and will be supported by the new owners to accelerate rollout to two million connections by 2025.

Equistone Partners Europe Acquires Amadys

Equistone Partners Europe has agreed to acquire Amadys NV, a Brussels-headquartered provider and distributor of passive network equipment for utilities and telecoms, from the company's management and Vectis Private Equity. Management, led by CEO Hein Wilderjans, will reinvest and retain a minority stake; Equistone plans to support organic growth and use Amadys as a platform for consolidation and international expansion. The deal is subject to competition clearance and financial terms were not disclosed.

Macquarie Asset Management has finalised an agreement to acquire a 40% equity interest in Open Fiber from Enel for €2.12 billion, while CDP Equity will hold the remaining 60% following Enel’s full exit. Open Fiber operates Italy’s largest FTTH network (over 12 million households passed) and the investment will support the company’s continued rollout of ultrafast broadband across Italy; completion was expected in Q4 2021 subject to regulatory approvals.
