Aspen Technology Acquires OptiPlant

Aspen Technology, Inc. (AspenTech) has acquired OptiPlant, a Walnut Creek–based developer of AI-driven 3D conceptual plant layout and engineering automation software. The acquisition expands AspenTech’s industrial AI and conceptual design capabilities and integrates OptiPlant’s layout and routing solutions with AspenTech’s process modeling and cost-estimating products.
