Foam Fabricators Acquires Substantially All Assets of Polyfoam Corp.

Foam Fabricators, a Compass Diversified Holdings-backed packaging platform, has acquired substantially all of the assets of Massachusetts-based Polyfoam Corp., expanding Foam Fabricators' protective and temperature-sensitive packaging capabilities and geographic footprint. The deal adds Polyfoam's cold-chain and injection-molded plastic capabilities and enables cross-selling to national customers while Foam Fabricators also announced a partnership with Rational Packaging and commercialization of a biodegradable EPS product.

Carlisle Companies Acquires Plasti‑Fab (PFB's EPS Insulation Business)

Carlisle Companies has completed the purchase of the expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation segment of PFB Holdco, Inc. — comprised of the Plasti‑Fab and Insulspan brands — for approximately $259.5 million in cash. The business, headquartered in Calgary, Alberta with manufacturing operations in Canada and the U.S., expands Carlisle's EPS capabilities and geographic footprint and is expected to close in Q4 2024 (transaction announced as a sale by The Riverside Company / PFB).

Wynnchurch Capital Acquires Drew Foam Companies

Wynnchurch Capital has acquired Drew Foam Companies, a Monticello, Arkansas–based manufacturer of expanded polystyrene (EPS) products, from Branford Castle Partners. Drew operates multiple manufacturing facilities across the Southeast U.S. serving packaging, building products and OEM end markets; terms were not disclosed and Wynnchurch intends to support the company's organic and inorganic growth.

Wynnchurch Capital Acquires Huntington Foam

Wynnchurch Capital has acquired Huntington Foam, a manufacturer of engineered EPS, EPP and ARCEL foam products headquartered in Greer, South Carolina. Huntington will be combined with Wynnchurch portfolio company Drew Foam Companies to create a unified foam-platform serving appliance, cold-chain, automotive and building products end markets.

Alleguard Acquires Harbor Foam

Alleguard (Foam Holdings, a Wynnchurch Capital portfolio company) has acquired Harbor Foam, an expanded polystyrene (EPS) manufacturer headquartered in Grandville, Michigan. The add-on expands Alleguard's EPS manufacturing and distribution capabilities to better serve its Midwest customer base across construction, packaging, recreational vehicle and general industrial end markets.

ICA will be combined under a single platform with Wynnchurch portfolio companies Drew Foam Companies, Inc. and Huntington Foam, LLC to expand the platform’s geographic reach and product capabilities in the Northeast U.S.
