AMCS, a Limerick-based provider of cloud software and vehicle technology for environmental and recycling industries, has acquired Berlin-based Quentic, a SaaS provider of EHSQ and ESG management software. The deal closed after German regulatory approval in June/July 2022 and was completed alongside a new equity investment in AMCS from Clearlake Capital and co-investments from Insight Partners, Ireland Strategic Investment Fund and Highland Europe.

Accenture Acquires Morphus

Accenture has acquired Morphus, a Brazil-based cyber defense, risk management and threat intelligence services provider, expanding Accenture’s cybersecurity capabilities and footprint in Brazil and across Latin America. Morphus — founded in 2003 and headquartered in Fortaleza with offices in Recife, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Santiago — brings a research lab and more than 230 security professionals; financial terms were not disclosed.

Tenzing Acquires Mandata from LDC

Tenzing has acquired Newcastle-headquartered transport management software provider Mandata from mid-market private equity firm LDC. Mandata is a SaaS-based TMS serving UK haulage and carrier SMEs (about 120 employees, ~2,000 customers); financial terms were not disclosed and the deal follows LDC's 2018 investment that supported acquisitive growth and product development.

BetterCloud Acquires Tricent

Motive Partners & Clearlake Acquire Majority Stake in InvestCloud

Funds advised by Motive Partners and Clearlake Capital acquired an 80% stake in InvestCloud and combined it with Motive portfolio companies Finantix and Tegra118 to create a global, next-generation SaaS wealth solutions platform. Co-investors in the transaction included Accenture, Citi Ventures and Fiserv; the combined InvestCloud Group will target global wealth managers, private banks and asset managers with an integrated cloud-native offering.

3Cloud, a Microsoft Azure-focused services firm, acquired Polaris Solutions to expand its application modernization and DevOps capabilities and reinforce its position as the largest Azure pure-play services provider in the U.S. Polaris’ Azure development team will join 3Cloud’s Application Modernization & Development and DevOps practices; 3Cloud is PE-backed by Gryphon Investors, which completed a majority investment in 2020.
