Powin Energy Corporation, a Tualatin, Oregon-based designer and manufacturer of grid-scale battery energy storage systems, has sold a controlling interest to private equity firms Trilantic North America and Energy Impact Partners (EIP). The investment will provide significant equity capital to accelerate Powin's growth, improve its bankability and support scaling of its software and hardware energy storage platform.
