Extreme Vehicle Battery Technologies Corp. (EV Battery Tech) entered into a share exchange agreement to acquire CryptoPlug Technologies Inc., a developer of a blockchain-based, crypto-compatible smartphone application for EV charging payments. As consideration, EV Battery Tech will issue 24 million common shares (at $0.25 per share) to CryptoPlug shareholders for a deemed transaction valuation of $6.0 million; the acquisition is intended to accelerate integration of CryptoPlug features into EV Battery Tech's Smart Command application.

Accenture Acquires True North Solutions

Accenture has acquired True North Solutions, an industrial engineering and operational-technology (OT) specialist headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. The acquisition adds roughly 95 automation, instrumentation and electrical engineering experts to Accenture’s Industry X and Resources teams to strengthen OT, industrial automation, enterprise asset management and OT cybersecurity capabilities for energy and mining clients.

Equinor Acquires East Point Energy

Equinor has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of Charlottesville-based battery storage developer East Point Energy LLC, bringing a 4.1 GW pipeline of early- to mid-stage US battery storage projects into Equinor's renewables portfolio. The deal accelerates Equinor's entry into the US power market and expands its capabilities in grid-scale battery storage to support its broader renewable and trading strategy.

Lyten Acquires Northvolt's BESS Product Portfolio

Lyten announced it has secured more than $200 million in additional equity (primarily from existing investors) and acquired the rights to Northvolt's Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) product portfolio, including Voltpack Mobile Systems (VMS) and Voltrack. Core members of Northvolt's energy storage engineering team will join Lyten in Stockholm, and Lyten plans to manufacture VMS and future BESS products in Gdansk, Poland with production targeted for Q4 2025.
