Digital Diagnostics Inc. (formerly IDx) has acquired 3Derm Systems, Inc., a Boston-based developer of teledermatology and autonomous skin-cancer diagnostic technology. The acquisition expands Digital Diagnostics' autonomous AI platform to include dermatology capabilities (3DermTriage and 3DermSpot) and consolidates intellectual property and telemedicine tools ahead of planned FDA authorization and broader market rollout.

Partners Group Acquires Majority Stake in Forefront Dermatology from OMERS Private Equity

Partners Group has signed an agreement to acquire OMERS Private Equity's interest in Forefront Dermatology, the largest physician-led dermatology group in the U.S. Forefront's physicians and executive team — and OMERS — will remain minority investors as Partners Group becomes the lead sponsor to support continued geographic expansion and growth; the deal is expected to close in early Q2 2022.

Sun Capital Affiliate Acquires West Dermatology from Enhanced Healthcare Partners

DermCare Management (Hildred Capital) Adds Three Dermatology Practices

DermCare Management, a portfolio company of Hildred Capital Management, completed three add-on acquisitions in Q4 2022: ADF Dermatology (Sarasota, FL), Advanced Dermatology, PA (Jacksonville, FL) and First OC Dermatology (Fountain Valley/Irvine, CA). The deals expand DermCare’s footprint in Florida and California and contribute to a milestone year in which the platform added 11 practices (24 locations) and now manages 65 practice locations.

NovaBay Pharmaceuticals Acquires DERMAdoctor

NovaBay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire DERMAdoctor, LLC for $15.0 million ( $12.0 million cash at closing plus up to $3.0 million in earnouts). The deal brings DERMAdoctor's ~30-product skincare portfolio and its 13-person team (co-founders Audrey and Jeff Kunin to remain) into NovaBay's commercial platform to expand its presence in the U.S. beauty market and capture revenue and operating synergies.

DermCare Management Acquires Four Dermatology Practices

DermCare Management, a portfolio company of Hildred Capital Management, announced partnerships to bring Stone Oak Dermatology, Irradiance Medical Group, Altman Dermatology, and Icecreamwala Dermatology into its platform. The add-on deals expand DermCare’s footprint across Florida, Texas and California, increasing the platform to 46 locations and roughly 100 medical providers.
