BioIVT, a global biospecimen solutions provider, has acquired PrecisionMed, LLC, a Carlsbad-based supplier of high-quality human biospecimens and owner of a large longitudinal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) repository. The acquisition expands BioIVT's supply network, inventory and capacity for CSF and liquid biopsy products while PrecisionMed will continue to operate from its existing headquarters and collection sites.

IVX Health Acquires Precision Healthcare

The acquisition was financed with preferred equity led by Linden Capital Partners and joined by McKesson Ventures, Health Velocity Capital, and Nueterra Capital; Precision was previously a subsidiary of BAI Healthcare Services (a portfolio company of EW Healthcare Partners).

The transaction (supported by Bank Prov) installs Dan Brunstetter as CEO while sellers Bill Bacha and Mark Hoover remain engaged to support operations as Broadtree pursues growth of the business.
