Charlotte-based Summit Park recapitalized Freedom Electronics, a Kennesaw, Georgia remanufacturer of aftermarket electronic components, partnering with the Freedom management team. Capitala Group provided $24.5 million of senior secured debt and equity capital alongside Summit Park; the seller was Range Light LLC.

SEAM Group Acquires Electrical Engineering & Service, Co. (EESCO)

(EESCO), a NETA-accredited electrical power systems testing, commissioning, and maintenance provider headquartered in Holbrook, Massachusetts. The add-on expands SEAM Group's NETA-certified testing and medium-/high-voltage preventive maintenance capabilities across New England and broadens its service offering for switchgear, transformers, protective relays, and related electrical distribution equipment.

Colson Group Acquires ESCO Plastics

Colson Group, a global manufacturer of casters and wheels backed by Blue Wolf Capital, has acquired ESCO Plastics, a Houston-area manufacturer of custom-molded polyurethane parts. The deal strengthens Colson's North American urethane manufacturing capabilities, shortens lead times, and expands its engineering and distribution footprint to better serve industrial OEM customers.

LFM Capital Invests in SESCO to Expand Electric Grid Reliability Platform

LFM Capital has invested in Systems Engineering and Sales Co. (SESCO), bringing the Fort Wayne, Indiana-based supplier of power transformer installation and maintenance equipment into its electric grid reliability platform. CP Energy Holdings participated as a minority investor; SESCO will join LFM’s existing platform partnership with ZTZ Services International to provide complementary diagnostic and remediation equipment and services for power utilities and transformer manufacturers across North America.

ECM Industries Acquires ILSCO

ECM Industries, LLC (New Berlin, Wisconsin) announced the acquisition of electrical connector manufacturer ILSCO, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The deal adds ILSCO's power connectors, grounding solutions and distribution footprint (three countries, eight manufacturing locations and nine distribution centers) to ECM's portfolio to strengthen its product offering and channel coverage in commercial, industrial, utility and OEM markets.
