WM Holding Company, LLC (Weedmaps), a technology and SaaS platform for the cannabis industry, completed its previously announced business combination with Silver Spike Acquisition Corp. The combined public company was renamed WM Technology, Inc. (ticker: MAPS) and the transaction provided approximately $579 million of gross proceeds (including a $325 million PIPE) to support scaling WM Business and expanding the Weedmaps marketplace.

Leaf Trade and Sweed Merge to Create Integrated Cannabis Wholesale and Retail Platform

Sproutly Acquires Assets of CannaHive Inc.

The asset acquisition gives Sproutly in-house manufacturing capability and improved economics to support a national launch of its whole-plant confectionary products in Canada.

LeafLink Acquires Leaf Trade

The deal closed July 30, 2025, and NewsWhip’s team — led by co-founder and CEO Paul Quigley — will join Sprout, with Quigley named General Manager of Sprout’s Listening business.
