Mercer Global Advisors (Mercer Advisors) has acquired Waypoint Capital Advisors, a Minneapolis-based investment advisory and financial planning firm that manages nearly $1 billion in client assets for ultra-high-net-worth families. The deal brings Waypoint's 12 professionals into Mercer and is intended to deepen Mercer’s multi-family office and UHNW capabilities while expanding its Minneapolis footprint.

Acuity Brands Acquires LocusLabs

Acuity Brands, Inc. acquired LocusLabs, Inc., a provider of indoor mapping and location-platform software, to integrate LocusLabs' venue mapping and wayfinding capabilities with Acuity's Atrius IoT and building solutions. The acquisition is intended to enable rapid indoor positioning, wayfinding, asset tracking and analytics for airports, event centers and large multi-floor venues; terms were not disclosed and the deal was not expected to materially affect Acuity Brands' fiscal 2020 results.

Rockwell Automation Acquires Clearpath Robotics (OTTO Motors)

Rockwell Automation signed a definitive agreement to acquire Clearpath Robotics Inc., the Ontario-based developer of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and OTTO Motors fleet management software, to accelerate its autonomous production logistics capabilities. The deal, funded in part from proceeds of Rockwell's sale of its PTC stake, is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in Rockwell's fiscal Q1 2024; Clearpath will report to Rockwell's Intelligent Devices segment.

One80 Intermediaries Acquires Waypoint Underwriting Management

One80 Intermediaries, a Boston-based specialty insurance broker, has acquired Waypoint Underwriting Management, a Basking Ridge, New Jersey-based reinsurance managing general underwriter. The acquisition expands One80's reinsurance and underwriting capabilities across property, casualty, workers' compensation and accident & health products; terms were not disclosed and Dowling Hales acted as exclusive financial advisor to Waypoint.
