Shore Capital Partners has formed a partnership with Moesle Meat Distribution, a Chicago-based wholesale meat distributor of beef, poultry, pork and seafood, to support organic growth and pursue add-on acquisitions. Shore will work with CEO Joel Janecek to invest in sales, technology, warehouse/distribution infrastructure and value-added processing to build a regional specialty distribution and processing platform in the Midwest.

DTM Distributors Acquires ACME Meat Company

DTM Distributors, a portfolio company of Strength Capital Partners, has acquired ACME Meat Company, a Phoenix-based specialty food distributor and processor serving independent Mexican restaurants across Arizona. The add-on expands DTM/Strength's foodservice distribution and processing capabilities; Strength's financing partners included Signature Bank and Northcreek Mezzanine.

Highview Capital Acquires WilMar and Merges It With Randall Foods

WilMar) and will merge the business with its portfolio company, Randall Foods, to create a leading U.S. protein processor and distributor. The combination expands product mix and operational capacity across Randall's and WilMar's Vernon, California operations while WilMar's founder will retire and key management will remain.

Woodland Foods Acquires Idan Foods

Woodland Foods, a Waukegan, Illinois-based provider of plant-based specialty ingredients and a portfolio company of Graham Partners, has acquired Idan Foods, a Hawthorne, New Jersey-based manufacturer of breadings, batters, coating systems, baking mixes, and seasonings. The acquisition is a strategic add-on to Woodland’s platform intended to expand its finished-product offerings, R&D and manufacturing capabilities, and customer reach across foodservice and industrial channels; The DAK Group served as advisor to Idan Foods' owners.

Shoreline Equity Partners Invests in Prime Meats

Parcom Acquires Group of Butchers from Equistone

Dutch private equity firm Parcom Private Equity has agreed to acquire the majority stake in Group of Butchers from funds advised by Equistone Partners Europe. Group of Butchers, headquartered in Tilburg, Netherlands, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of artisanal meat products (about 900 employees; ~€280m revenue forecast for 2020); Parcom intends to support further buy-and-build expansion and broaden the company’s customer and product portfolio. The financial terms were not disclosed and the deal is subject to competition approval.
