NanoXplore Acquires Assets of XG Sciences

August 29, 2022

NanoXplore Inc. was the winning bidder for a significant portion of XG Sciences' assets, acquiring the company's mechanical milling platform, R&D lab, and all issued and pending patents and trademarks in a cash asset purchase from XG's senior secured creditor. NanoXplore plans to relocate the assets from Lansing, Michigan to Canada to establish a dedicated battery-material R&D facility and to build a silicon-graphene anode material production capability (100–200 tons/year planned for 2023), accelerating its participation in the battery anode materials market and expanding its IP position.
