MaxLinear Acquires NanoSemi, Inc.

MaxLinear, Inc. (NYSE: MXL) completed the acquisition of NanoSemi, Inc., a Boston-based MIT spinout that develops patented machine-learning IP to improve signal integrity and power efficiency in SoCs, ASICs and FPGAs. The initial consideration included $10 million in cash and 804,163 shares of MaxLinear common stock, plus $35 million in deferred cash and up to $35 million in potential earnouts; the deal expands MaxLinear's capabilities for 5G and wireless system customers.
