Infosys has completed the acquisition of InSemi, a semiconductor design and embedded services provider, strengthening its Engineering R&D capabilities. The deal brings InSemi's ~900 engineering specialists into Infosys to support its Chip-to-Cloud strategy and expand capabilities across AI, 5G, automotive, consumer electronics and other high-performance markets.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has acquired Enosemi, a Silicon Valley photonics startup, to accelerate development of silicon photonics and co‑packaged optics technologies for next‑generation AI systems. The deal extends AMD’s existing partnership with Enosemi and brings the startup’s team and IP into AMD to scale optical interconnect and photonics capabilities across data center and AI system architectures; terms were not disclosed.

indie Semiconductor Acquires GEO Semiconductor

indie Semiconductor (Nasdaq: INDI) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire GEO Semiconductor, a private fabless supplier of camera video processors for automotive applications, for $180 million in aggregate consideration (approximately $90 million cash plus ~12 million INDI Class A shares) with the potential to earn up to an additional $90 million tied to performance. The deal adds GEO's camera-based image-processing technology and patents to indie's portfolio to enable full sensor fusion (Radar, LiDAR, Ultrasound and Computer Vision) for ADAS and next-generation automotive systems; closing was expected in Q1 2023 subject to customary conditions.

(NYSE: MXL) completed the acquisition of NanoSemi, Inc., a Boston-based MIT spinout that develops patented machine-learning IP to improve signal integrity and power efficiency in SoCs, ASICs and FPGAs. The initial consideration included $10 million in cash and 804,163 shares of MaxLinear common stock, plus $35 million in deferred cash and up to $35 million in potential earnouts; the deal expands MaxLinear's capabilities for 5G and wireless system customers.
