RDCP Group Acquires Worcester Electrical Distributors

London-based investment firm RDCP Group has acquired Worcester Electrical Distributors, a Worcester-headquartered electrical wholesaler with six branches, 80 employees and ~£24m revenue. The deal is part of RDCP's buy-and-build strategy to expand its distribution footprint and capability, including EV charger stock and automation products; founders Neville Butler and Bob Rushton are exiting as planned retirements.

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) completed the acquisition of Wolseley UK from Ferguson plc in a carve-out divestiture valued at £308 million. Wolseley — a leading UK distributor of plumbing, heating, climate control, pipe and infrastructure products with ~542 branches, ~5,000 employees and ~£1.5 billion revenue in FY2020 — will be owned by CD&R funds alongside Wolseley management and run as an independent company to accelerate growth and pursue operational improvements.
