EverWatch, an Enlightenment Capital portfolio company, has acquired BrainTrust, an Annapolis Junction-based software and cloud engineering firm that provides software engineering, machine learning, systems engineering and cybersecurity services to U.S. intelligence and defense customers. BrainTrust will be merged into EverWatch's Columbia office, its founders will join EverWatch leadership, and Stellus Capital provided unitranche financing and an equity co-investment to support the transaction.

BioIntelliSense Acquires AlertWatch Clinical Intelligence Engine

BioIntelliSense, a continuous health monitoring and clinical intelligence company, has acquired AlertWatch, an FDA-cleared clinical intelligence and triage system. The acquisition combines AlertWatch’s multi-parameter decision support and centralized triage dashboard with BioIntelliSense’s medical-grade BioButton wearable and DaaS platform, and AlertWatch will be distributed to U.S. hospitals through Medtronic’s Patient Monitoring business as part of BioIntelliSense’s HealthCast portfolio.

Everlane Equity Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, has made a strategic growth investment in South Watch, LLC, an outsourced fund administration provider headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts that oversees 50+ funds and approximately $3 billion in assets. The founders and management team will remain in place; the capital will be used to strengthen market position, scale the platform and pursue inorganic growth through ancillary services and add-ons.
